Deep Trout has been released in two versions with some different tracks. European version released on the Provogue label on 31 January 2005 and USA version on the Ruf label released 24 May 2005 ONLY the EUROPEAN release has a FREE BONUS CD containing an Arrow Rock radio interview is included in the very first pressing of the album and thus limited. People who buy early will get rewarded this way without paying more. The interview is a great one and very much in line with the concept of Deep Trout. This compilation is of Walter’s early years with some previously unreleased tracks comes out in late January. This will be a co-operation between Provogue Records and Ruf Records. Provogue will release it in Europe and Ruf in North America. The CD booklet contains a look back at Walter’s career highlighting both Walter’s song writing and guitar work. The three previously unreleased tracks (13, 14 and 15) includes a rare acoustic version of “Life in the Jungle”, and a very strong track show casing Walter’s guitar work as a studio player on Freebo’s CD. Finally the last track showcases Walter as a young 21 year old guitar player with a band in New Jersey in 1972.
