Walter Trout is endorsed by Rotosound Strings

Press release date: March 22, 2004
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Walter Trout is endorsed by Rotosound Strings as of March 2004

A truly British company that has been making strings since the beginning of popular music.

Walter will be using .009 gauge Roto-pinks for his beloved Strat and Vigier and .011 gauge Country Gold Phosphor Bronze on his Carvin Acoustic

Here's the short story behind the endorsement by Andrew Elt, Tour Manager and Guitar Technician.

Besides being Walter Trout's tour manager, I'm also his
guitar tech. I re-string his guitar before every show and at 200 shows a
year, thats a lot of winding!
To be honest, Walter, for years has never really played one particular
brand of strings, (he's "tried 'em all"), the reason being that he finds
that 90% of the time the 'gauges' aren't always the same, especially the
.009 and .011gauge strings (E and B of a standard extra light gauge set).

Every gig I change a full set and most of the time I have to change the E and B again (and again!) because the gauges don't feel right to him.

On last years 2003 UK tour (which we do every year, 3 weeks solid) we
encountered the same problem. I had to go out and get extra E's and
B's, first from the same brand, then other brands, later I happened to buy
some Rotosounds.... which for some reason, he's never used.....
Lo and behold, the E's and B's I'd bought felt great! Because Walter had
never used them we thought we'd give them a try, so I went and got a
few sets and the same thing! For the first time in years, and
after hundreds of shows, we finally found a set of strings that had
consistency. ROTOSOUND!

This is the reason we approached Rotosound.
Thank you to Jason and Coral Lynn at Rotosound for making this happen.
