The Project:
Livin' Every Day is the second major U.S. release from WALTER TROUT, "one of the unsung heroes of blues rock", according to the New York Post. Building on the foundation established by Trout's self-titled U.S. debut (a tribute to the musical legacy of Memphis, released in Europe as Positively Beale Street).
Livin' Every Day ripples with muscular blues rock and poignant ballads  from never-give-up attitude expressed in the title track, to Sweet Butterfly (Sophie's Song), composed by Trout for two close friends who lost their young daughter in a tragic accident. "One night I had a dream," says Walter, "where this couple was holding hands and watching a butterfly. In the dream, they realized the butterfly was their daughter's soul and that she was with God and free".
Produced by Jim Gaines (who has worked with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana and Blues Traveller),
Livin' Every Day also features songs about America's duplicitous political leaders (Say What You Mean), temptation (Thought I Heard the Devil and Junkyards In Your Eyes), the spirit world (Apparitions and Let Me Know, written for the late Luther Allison), and, of course, love (Fool For Your Love, The Love That We Once Knew and Through The Eyes Of Love).
The Artist:
For years
WALTER TROUT has been hailed by European fans as a true guitar hero. Called "a blues master" by Time Out, London and "the best guitarist in the world" by Rock CD Magazine, Trout ranked #6 in a BBC poll of Top 20 greatest guitarists of all time. The New Jersey native (now living in California) took up the blues after hearing Mike Bloomfield play with Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and started his career playing with Big Mama Thornton, Joe Tex and John Lee Hooker. After spending five years each with the legendary Canned Heat and John Mayall's Blues Breakers, Trout embarked on a solo career, and his albums sold a total of more than 400,000 copies internationally.
